Notes: This is the first time Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to Michigan . . . Goodyear ran this left-side code during NASCAR's visit to Michigan back in June, but with a different right-side code . . . both the Nextel Cup and Busch Series will run the same tire codes this weekend . . . this is the only track at which NASCAR teams will run this specific tire combination in 2005, though this left-side code (D-6852) will be run at California, Charlotte, Chicago, and Kansas . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in their tires at Michigan . . . the inflation in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
