Rockstar / Makita Team LeDuc Racing takes on Perris Auto Speedway

The Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc once again took home four podium finishes this past weekend during the second race of The Off-road Race Championship Series presented by Traxxas. The first California event of the eight race series kicked off May 29th and 30th at the celebrated Perris Auto Speedway.

After recovering from a hit by Mark Oberg, Kyle successfully brought home a second place finish during Friday's racing. Starting in the last row of the inverted field, Kyle avoided the spectacular crash between Hord and Federico and claimed the second place on the podium during Saturday's event.

After the first four rounds of Pro Light action the No. 99 Leatt Brace / Rockstar truck of Kyle LeDuc has secured the second position in the points chase.

Friday's round three action found the No. 3 Rockstar / Makita Pro 2WD of Todd LeDuc battling it out with the notorious Jeremy McGrath. Avoiding McGrath's mid-race spinout, Todd took the checkered flag with a hard fought third place finish.

Round four made the fans go wild with excitement as the crazy action unfolded before their eyes. Fortin hit the "K" rail and Adler smashed into the wall closest to the grandstands, sending fiberglass flying into the crowd. Avoiding the mayhem and carnage, Todd finished in the seventh position and kept his fifth place standing in the points chase.

During a 4th turn pass on Scott Douglas, Kyle's truck hit the guard rail but it did not stop him from maintaining his position and placing third. Running consistent, Curt was able to gain valuable points by finishing eighth during the third round of Pro 4x4 racing.

Rounds three and four proved to be a tough competition for the Pro 4x4 class at the historic Perris Auto Speedway venue. Gaining two positions after Friday's competition yellow, Kyle worked his way up to the third spot on the track in his No. 99 Rockstar / Makita Ford truck.

Saturday's Pro 4x4 race featured Curt in the second starting position with Kyle staged directly behind. After bumping fenders with Adrian Cenni, Curt was forced to leave the track with an engine issue, however the high attrition rate of the field earned Curt a fifth place finish. The extreme racing of the Pro 4x4 race was apparent as just three competitors remained on the field to compete in all the required laps. Kyle earned a fourth place finish and secured a 4th spot in the points chase.

The Rockstar / Makita LeDuc Team will be back for the third race of the Traxxas TORC Series at the historic Crandon Raceway in Crandon, WI on June 20 - 21st. Coverage of previous weekend's racing can be seen on the ESPN2 Network. Check local listings for broadcast times!
