MEGENBIER SET FOR LAKESIDE BATTLE
Chicago driver returns to Skip Barber National action at Grand Prix of Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH (June 21, 2007) -- Chicago teenager Timmy Megenbier will slip back behind the wheel of his Caputo Cheese/Rahal Foods-sponsored RT2000 open wheel race car when the Skip Barber National circuit gets back underway this weekend at the Grand Prix of Cleveland, the Ohio city set on the shores of Lake Erie. Following strong runs in the open four races of the series, including a huge win at the season opener in Sebring, Florida, the aspiring 15 year-old professional race car driver sits third in points with an opportunity to take over the overall point lead with a strong outing at Burke Lakefront Airport, the location of the track where the Skip Barber series will run in support of the Champ Car World Series. The track is wide and fast, perfect for the young charger.

"I think that a track like Cleveland will suit my style and I hope to be able to put in a performance that will leverage this opportunity," offered the Melrose Park, IL pilot. "Running in front of the Champ Car team owners is very important to me, as it offers the same chance to impress the right people, just as my 12 Hours of Sebring win did in front of the players in the American LeMans Series. I want them to see what I can do."

In Cleveland, Megenbier will first hit the track on Friday evening at 6:00 pm, running as part of a full day's event that will include racing under the lights. Qualifying on Saturday morning at 11:45 am will set the grid for a late afternoon race at 5:45 pm. The second main of the weekend will follow the Champ Car feature race on Sunday, with Megenbier set to take to the track at 5:00 pm.

On the strength of his Sebring win and three consecutive top-10 results in the subsequent three rounds, Megenbier is now just 16 points behind the current leader in the standings, fellow race winner Joel Miller. Heading into the event, the former karting star spent some time at the Bob Bondurant Racing School to keep sharp and he is primed and ready to go after win #2 on the year.
