GEDDIE BACK ON TRACK IN CARRERA CUP

BRDC Rising Star Glynn Geddie will return to Porsche Carrera Cup GB action at Snetterton this weekend as the series returns after a seven-week mid-season break.

Now at the halfway stage of the season, Aberdeen's Geddie has proven he has the outright pace to be running right at the sharp end with Carrera Cup veterans Tim Harvey and Michael Caine but mechanical issues meant he could only manage 8th and 14th in the last double-header at Croft.

Currently 5th in the drivers standings and in the battle for 3rd with Team Parker Racing team mates Euan Hankey and Stephen Jelley, who lie 3rd and 4th respectively, Apex Tubulars-backed Geddie has scored points in every race so far and will be looking for his maiden overall win in the series this weekend.

Glynn Geddie:
"We've made some real progress with the car in testing at Snetterton over the break and feel we are in a better position to get that first win than we have all season. Everything is moving in the right direction but we are well aware that the other teams haven't been resting either, and the real test of pace and development is how we all compare at the weekend.

"Snetterton is a circuit I enjoy a lot and it was where our season really started flying last year with two Pro-Am 1 wins, so it holds some good memories for me. At the moment we are focusing firmly on the battle for 3rd in the standings so getting on the podium this weekend is what we need to do, and I'm really looking forward to getting back in the car and racing again."
