After compulsory halt for several months due to the regional circumstances, engines of racing cars started to heat up in early preparation for the second round of Middle East Rally Championship, known as Rally of Lebanon, which will take place in the upcoming July 4th.

Motivated by his enthusiasm to repeat his excellent achievement in 1996, when he then won this rally, Marlboro Peugeot international rally driver Abdullah Bakhashab, Sponsored by Power Horse, started early his preparations for the toughest and the most difficult rally for this season. He will be using the world championship's three times winning car Peugeot 206 WRC.

On this occasion, Bakhashab said:" Being in the middle of the Championship, results of Lebanon Rally used to form an important indication of the final Championship's results. Due to the cancellation of Bahrain Rally and due to rescheduling of Jordan Rally, Lebanon International Rally for this season is completely different, now it forms an important milestone for all participants. Such fact gave an added value to this rally; therefore, I shall do my best to get as many points as I can as such points will be my starting points for this season. I shall be very careful to ensure a successful and fruitful participation."

Bakhashab added:" As a participating team in this championship, my Irish co-driver Bobby Willis and I have completed our preparations and we do hope that circumstances would help us to present a great performance as an international team, we shall take all necessary precaution measures in order to avoid unforeseen surprises. We shall not be afraid of our competitors, but in the meantime, we shall take into consideration the experience of the landowners, bearing in mind that every round has its own calculations".
