Bill Auberlen scored his second-straight Touring Car win in a dominating fashion yesterday at Infineon/Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, California. The H&R Springs/Turner Motorsport BMW 325i took him to victory two weeks ago at Lime Rock Park and delivered him the win and a new lap record at Infineon.

Auberlen started the race from the front row next to Randy Pobst in a Mazda. The standing start was all about the BMW, however, and Auberlen led through the first corner with Pobst in second place. The Turner Motorsport BMW was very much at home at Infineon and Auberlen pulled away from the pack and was never seriously challenged for the lead. He led all 23 laps and recorded a new lap record for Touring Cars at Infineon - 1:47.851 around the 2.52 mile course. This was his third straight year with a win at Infineon in Turner Motorsport BMWs.

Bill Auberlen, #1 H&R Springs/Turner Motorsport BMW 325i:

"Of course I knew we were going to do well here but how well depended a lot on that start. I was just counting on the Mazda to spin his wheels uncontrollably while I snuck away and I guess it worked out. The car was excellent all weekend as evidenced by our times during practice, qualifying, and the race and that's all due to H&R Springs, Turner Motorsport, Borla Exhaust and StopTech Brakes."

Auberlen's BMW 325i receives support from H&R Springs, StopTech Brakes, B&M Racing, Borla Exhaust, Red Line Fluids, Sunoco Race Fuels, and Piloti Driving Shoes.

Yesterday's Touring Car race was televised live on The SPEED Channel.

The next race for the Turner Motorsport squad will be at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama on July 29-30 as part of the Grand Am Cup series. Bill Auberlen has won two races in the GS class with co-driver Justin Marks in a Turner Motorsport BMW M3 while teammates Will Turner and Don Salama are in fourth place in ST class standings.
