Lola Heritage division and Chevron look towards the future

Any Lola customers out there wondering if you can hit the track again, and still find the parts if something fails, you are in luck as Chevron and Lola partner to ensure support for classic cars moving forward.

Lola built some of the most historic race cars in motorsports history, but as technology changes and markets shift production further and further away from servicing classic race cars, Helen Bashford-Malkie & Vin Malkie and their Chevron brand have stepped up to preserve Lola’s mark well into the future.

The partnership between Lola Heritage division and Chevron will allow the team of Lola technicians and the wealth of drawings, information and technical instruction for these classic cars to continue being available moving forward.

The announcement was made at the Race Retro show, and Lola’s Martin Birrane said he is excited with the new partnership.

“Lola and the wonderful racing cars it has produced since 1958 has been a deep rooted passion of mine for many years. I am proud to see so many of these designs racing around the world,” said Birrane.

“This partnership will ensure that Lola customers the world over get totally authentic and detailed information and practical knowledge. It also aims to trigger a new era for the Lola brand with not only exceptional service from a team of Lola experts within the Lola Heritage division together with Helen Bashford‑Malkie and the Heritage Technical Team based at Antrobus but also the potential for new official Lola continuation series models in the future.”

The partnership will also allow Lola customers to order parts for pre-1990 cars, as Chevron will have the ability to manufacture most Lola components.
