Following the pole, Malucelli revealed that he never had a true clean lap with so many cars on course. “Of course, it is fantastic to make a comeback like this after my accident and my long recovery, I could have gone even faster"

"On my fastest lap, I overtook two cars. You never get a clear lap with 70 cars on track. A lap time of 1:49 would have been possible. The car is very well balanced in fast corners, but not ideal in the slow corners. Anyway, I am looking forward to the race. I hope it will be hot, because our car has the best handling in hot conditions.”

The No. 4 Ferrari will share the front row with another Ferrari, the No. 32 Kessel Racing Ferrari 458 with Giacomo Piccini. The No. 1 Hofar Racing Mercedes placed third with driver Kenneth Heyer posting the fast time.

All three cars were separated by less than half a second. The No. 6 Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini and the No. 5 Simpson Motorsport Audi R8 LMS rounded out the top five.
