Spotsman of the Year Award - Michael Schumacher nominated - Triple World Champion Michael Schumacher has been nominated for the Laureus World Sportsman of the year award. The winner will be announced on 22nd May 2001 in Monaco. Other sporting greats vying for the title is: golfer Tiger Woods, swimming champions Pieter van den Hoogenband and Ian Thorpe and rowing champion Steve Redgrave.

Formula 1 and V6 engines?- The FIA is will be closely monitoring cornering speeds at the Malaysian GP this weekend, especially after the lap breaking record at Australia. They are looking at alternatives to slow the Formula 1 cars down. A suggestion to bring in V6 engines is doing the rounds. It may slow the cars down, but according to Eddie Irvine: 'I don't think that would hurt Formula One'.
