Eric Jones Parts Ways From Red Cactus Salsa Racing
NASCAR Busch Series driver Eric Jones announced today that he has parted way with Red Cactus Salsa Racing effectively immediately.
Since the team's inception late last year, the duo has competed in three events. They participated in events from Kansas Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2004 with a career-best 23rd in their debut at Kansas. Thus far this year, the team has attempted three events and qualified for only one in Mexico city. After starting 43rd, Jones rallied to finish 29th.
"It's all about chemistry. I felt it was in the best interest of the race team and sponsors for me to head in a different direction," said Eric Jones, a native of Granger, Iowa.
Jones, a former competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series added, "I wish nothing but the best for the team in their future endeavors. I'm excited about some of the opportunities that have presented to me this week, and I hope to announce something in the near future."
