The record of the Nationwide season shows steady improvement from Jeffrey Earnhardt, and he hopes to continue that trend Sunday as the series races at Iowa Speedway.
It’s a stand-alone event for the Nationwide circuit, giving the race a featured Sunday spot on the weekend NASCAR schedule.
After finishing in the 30s in the first four races of his first full-time Nationwide run, Earnhardt has three top-20 finishes in the past four races.
“We’re getting better week by week,” said Earnhardt, who’ll drive the Flex Seal Chevrolet Sunday. “Johnny and his team put together some good cars, and we’re working together better every week. I’m looking for a good run this week at Iowa.”
Earnhardt is 15th in Nationwide points nine races into the season.
Three practice sessions are scheduled Friday – at 10 a.m. (ET), 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Another practice is set Saturday (12:30 p.m.) before qualifying at 7:10 p.m. The race is scheduled for a green flag at 2 p.m. Sunday.
