Meuspath, Nürburgring - With the 24 Hours of Nürburgring approaching fast, Black Falcon will take advantage of the second VLN round that is taking place this weekend to prepare for the big race that is coming up in May. Having taken a magnificent third place overall in the ADAC 6 Hour qualifying race with their SP7 class 991 Cup car, the team return to VLN 2 with a brace of Porsches and 2 SLS AMG GT3s.
Black Falcon’s last race ahead of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring will be contested by 6 cars in total. Having missed the qualifying race due to the Monza Blancpain Endurance Series, its two Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 racecars return with team regulars Abdulaziz Turki AlFaisal, Hubert Haupt, Jaap Van Lagen and Yelmer Buurman sharing the #2 car, while Tim Scheerbarth, Adam Christodoulou and Bernd Schneider are expected to take turns in the sister #3 car, both in class SP9.
This is our last chance to run a full race program before the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

On duty with the Black Falcon Porsches at VLN 2 we see one SP7 991 Cup car, #56 driven by the 6 Hour race podium team of "Gerwin“, Manuel Metzger and Philipp Eng. The #57 Porsche 911 GT3 in class SP7 driven by Vincent Kolb, "Don Stephano“ and Tobias Nell. The #394 Porsche 911 Carrera in class V6 driven by Aurel Schoeller, Sören Spreng and Daniel Schwerfeld and in class H4 sees the return of the #600 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup driven by "Willi Friedrichs“, Jürgen Bleul and Carsten Knechtges.
Sean Paul Breslin, Black Falcon team principal: “This is our last chance to run a full race program before the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. We are hoping for a clean safe race, and as always pushing for that top place on the podium. With strong entries across multiple classes, the team has high expectations ahead of the race”.
Black Falcon will use this VLN round to fine-tune its cars and prepare its drivers ahead of the challenging 24 Hours of Nürburgring that it won in 2013, and in which it finished second overall after a strong showing last year. The second round of the VLN championship kicks off with a qualifying session on Saturday, April 25 at 8:30 in the morning, which will then be followed by the race at 12:00 PM.
