Cars: No. 0 Lexus IS 300 (Sports Touring Class) Chuck Goldsborough, Baltimore, Md. Terry Borcheller, Phoenix, Ariz. No. 2 Lexus IS 300 (Sports Touring Class) Andy Lally, Long Island, N.Y. Jason Potter, Oxford, Ohio </pre> Progression + Potter = Podium? - Early flashes of success by the Lexus IS 300 has drawn current Sports Touring (ST) class points leader Jason Potter to join Team Lexus beginning with this weekend's Grand-Am Cup event at Mosport in Ontario, Canada. Potter has two ST wins in 2001 Daytona and Homestead), seven career victories, and leads the ST-class points race.

The IS 300 ran as high as third and second in its first two Grand-Am Cup events at Phoenix and Watkins Glen. The compact sports sedan then led more than a third of the Mid-Ohio race in the ST class after qualifying second and fourth respectively. Team Lexus driver/owner Chuck Goldsborough, sports car hot shoe Terry Borcheller, Mid-Ohio leader Andy Lally and Potter take aim at the podium this weekend in search of the IS 300's first victory. Borcheller and Goldsborough have driven the IS 300 to 11th and 12th place in the ST class championship to date.

Chuck Goldsborough, Team Lexus Owner/Driver: "The IS 300 really ran fantastic at Mid-Ohio; the car's great balance was perfect for that tough course. It was unfortunate that little things kept us from a win. We're in a good position for victory at all three upcoming races. It's a new car and program, but we're right on schedule. The IS has been competitive from the beginning."

Jason Potter, driver No. 2 Team Lexus IS 300: "When I first heard that Chuck was going to be racing IS 300s this year, I knew it was going to be a competitive car. The opportunity to race this car with a professionally run team was what drew me to make the move from the Integra. I feel this will advance my racing career. I'm really looking forward to competing this weekend in the Lexus."
