Alex Figge: "The test is going really well. We are fortunate to have our plans set for the season, so we are just able to take some time to try to get some work done for Long Beach. This is my first test with Chris (Lerch, engineer) and my driver coach, Mike (Zimicki) so we are learning each other's communication style. We are certainly happy with the way things have been going and I am really looking forward to going racing."
David Martinez: "It was a difficult day, in the morning the car felt great and we were able to put in some good times. This track changes quite a bit with temperature so we wanted to get out with new tires early and put in a fast time. Unfortunately, as we tried to leave the pits we had a problem with the engine which kept us in the garage until the afternoon. The PCM guys did a great job changing the engine; the car was all ready to go as soon as the afternoon session started. We continued making improvements to the car we were really quick and consistent with old tires. But for some reason we haven't been able to find the speed with the new tires. We'll keep working at it and studying the data and I'm sure that tomorrow we'll have something to show for all the hard work we've done in the past two days."
