Silverstone a wake-up call for Williams

Frank Williams thinks this weekend's British Grand Prix will be a 'wake-up call' as Silverstone is a tough circuit for the team; but if a win materializes, the title is a real possibility. Williams has enjoyed success in the last two races and is now just three points behind Constructors' standings leaders Ferrari.

"The last four races were very good for us, but they were all on relatively straightforward circuits," said Williams at a press conference in London to announce new sponsor Budweiser. "The tough circuits for us are Barcelona, Silverstone, Melbourne and Suzuka,"

"This race will be a wake-up call for us. We might run at the front, but it's a tough circuit and Silverstone has often sent the team home with some hard lessons. Ferrari will want to lash the back and McLaren's old car was still quick at the last test, but if we win fair and square it means our car is in as good a shape as anybody's."

"If we win at Silverstone, then we can start thinking that maybe we can win the title."

With three race wins between them, and five other podium finishes, Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya are third and fourth respectively in the Driver's championship. Ralf is eleven points behind brother Michael, who is currently top, but Williams is cautious about the possibility of victory overall for Schumacher Junior.

"Ralf is 11 points behind and he would have to win the last six races with Michael second each time to take the title. That's a tall order," he said.
