The team got very little running done in the opening two days of the test after being hit by a series of problems, and was again stopped early on Thursday due to issues with ,the brake-by-wire system.
But on Friday, Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez enjoyed a trouble-free session, racking up a combined total of 91 laps to complete the team's preparations for the Australian Grand Prix.
"I think today was our best day, to be honest, because we had some issues yesterday and we went off twice so that was a almost worrying," said Steiner.
"And to fix it overnight... it's just learning, and the only way to learn it is by doing it."
When asked if he felt the team was ready for the first race of the season, he said: "As ready as we can be. I don't know what's waiting around the corner.
"In the end we would have liked to run more on Tuesday and Wednesday but we couldn't and we can never make it up. As I said, I think we are as ready as we can get in the moment."
Steiner also said Grosjean's confidence was back following the two offs he had yesterday as a result of the braking problems.
"After today he's back," Steiner added. "After today he knows that the brake is working how he wants it so I don't think there is any loss of confidence anymore.
"And I think it should give him more confidence because he saw that if we have a problem we can solve it pretty quickly."
