SunTrust Bank Extends SunTrust Race Team Agreement with Wayne Taylor Through 2008

Orlando, Fla. (December 1, 2005) -- In a press conference at the PRI Show in Orlando, Florida today, SunTrust Bank announced that it has extended its agreement with Wayne Taylor and his Surrey Sport LLC company for sponsorship of the No. 10 SunTrust Pontiac Riley Mk.XI team for two more years, through the 2008 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series season.

"SunTrust continues to be extremely pleased with its relationship with Wayne Taylor and the program and people he's assembled to run the SunTrust racing team," said Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Bank, Florida, Tom Kuntz. "We have been so thrilled with the race program for the last two years that even before the third year has started, we wanted to show our commitment to Wayne and the Grand American Series and extend our contract two more years, bringing our commitment to five years, with an option on a sixth."

"The relationship that I have enjoyed with SunTrust over the past few years is not just a sponsorship, it's a real partnership," said car owner/driver Wayne Taylor, a veteran road racer. "What they bring to the table as a business partner is second to none. Their level of commitment, support and business savvy has elevated this partnership and helped us achieve far more than we expected in such a short time."

Part of the success has been the growth of the SunTrust Sports and Entertainment Banking, which reaches out to the sports and entertainment communities to serve their special financial needs.

"We are delighted by SunTrust's commitment to Wayne Taylor and the championship-winning No. 10 team," Grand American Road Racing Association President Roger Edmondson said. "They have proven they are a premier team in the series, and we are pleased that they will continue to be part of the Rolex Sports Car Series for years to come."

Since 2004, SunTrust has been the "Official Bank" of Grand American Road Racing.
