Bortolotti-Piscopo: at Vallelunga the final challenge The two drivers are at the moment separated by 8 points, with 24 still to be assigned. Saturday's qualifying will award one point for each pole position and therefore will be crucial in the title fight that most likely will be decided only at the end of race two, scheduled for Sunday.

The challenge for the third place of the classification is still open too, and sees Salvatore Cicatelli (BVM-Target, 54 points) leading Francesco Castellacci (Lucidi Motors, 49) and Marco Zipoli (Team Minardi by Corbetta, 48).

The interest from drivers coming from other championships continues as well: after Tom Dillman coming from F.3 Euro Series, Europa Corse will complete their line up with the Lebanese Khalil Beschir, racing in the CSAI National Trophy. In the occasion, Matteo Davenia (RP Motorsport) and Daniel Mancinelli (BVM-Target) will live their Formula 3 debut.

One can feel the atmosphere of great occasions in the paddock of Vallelunga, where men of all teams are setting up boxes and hospitalities in sight of the final round of the season.

The Roman track will house this weekend the last round of the Italian Formula 3 2008 Championship, one of the most interesting of the last few years thanks to the adoption of the new single seaters Dallara F308 powered by FPT Racing and thanks to the battle between the current leader of the classification Mirko Bortolotti (Lucidi Motors) and Edoardo Piscopo (Team Ghinzani).

Drivers Points 2008:
1 M. Bortolotti 126
2 E. Piscopo 118
3 S. Cicatelli 54
4 F. Castellacci 49
5 M. Zipoli 48
6 G. Nava 43
7 N. Verdonck 25
8 M. Dalle Stelle 21
